He is Madan Mohan (Kohli) - the unforgettable composer
.
His association with Lata Mangeshkar has given us many memorable
songs & ghazals.
Once O. P Nayyar had spontaneously exclaimed,
" It's hard to decide whether God created the voice of Lata
Mangeshkar for the compositions of Madan Mohan or vice - versa."
You must have heard Lata ji sing Madan Mohan saab's
" Aap ki nazron ne samjha pyar ke qabil mujhe ".
Naushad saab was spellbound after hearing this glorious ghazal and
he said,
" Give me this Ghazal & take all my compositions in exchange." |

It is really surprising that Qawaali Maestro
Ustaad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was invited to India way back in 1979
to sing at the wedding of Rishi, son of actor & director Raj Kapoor,
in front of the prominent members of the Bombay film industry.
And Ustaad ji got his due fame in the 90's. This surely tells about
the musical sense of Great Raj Kapoor. |

Versatile composer S. D. Burman
was a Navketan's (Dev Anand production co.)
loyalist and Dev Anand had full confidence in him therefore,
for his film " Guide " he waited for the composer as he was ill
& delayed the film.
And Sachin Da composed all the songs within five days.
Dev Anand okayed four of the tunes in the very first session!
