Nupur Marketing Inc. has now made its place in the hall of fame.
Beginning operations at the dawn of new millennium, under the expert management
of its director, Rajesh Gupta, the company has come up leaps and bounds in such
a short span of time. Known for its wide range, Nupur audio has made its presence
felt in the recent years and has captured a respectable share in the music market.
It all started with introduction of Karaoke music and with the blink of an eye,
the company became known for its huge range of quality Karaoke versions from
Mohd. Rafi to Udit Narayan. Another stepping stone on the road to success
was the introduction of works by the greatest qawwali exponent of the century,
Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, in both audio and video formats. Nupur is the first
company to launch video cds of the works of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and that
too at an unbelievable price. The Classical & Ghazals Repertoire was further enriched
with the introduction of masters of their art Ghulam Ali, Mehdi Hassan, Abida
Parween and Farida Khanum.
This was followed by collaboration with reputed companies such as Nusrat Fateh Ali
Khan Academy (London), EMP London, Reliance Ent. Ltd (Plus Music), Ishq Records, Sound Pipe Records and many more.
Nupur Audio is known for introducing the British Hip Hop Punjabi Music in India and
has to its credit more than a dozen hit albums of NRI Punjabi artists living abroad,
including B21, Popsy, DCS (Shin), Bee2, Taj-E, Rishi Rich, J12, Himmat
Singh, Frantic Kam, Harjeet, Afshan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Jadoo and more. Many of these artists introduced by us in India reached heights of their fame and
made their way to Bollywood.
Bally Sagoo, the King of Remixes, again made his presence felt in the music arena
with his path breaking album ‘HANJI’ and has released many more titles on Nupur
Audio since then.
The only company more interested in debuts of new artists, Nupur has been
instrumental in the rising career graphs of many artists, like Bee2, Mac G, Taj-E, Jassi Bains, Romy, Jadoo, Gulzar and Bopaz, who now enjoy a respectable place in the industry.
The latest feather in our cap is the entrance in the video market. Acquiring rights of
many hit hindi films and releasing their VCDs & DVDs has taken the company a long
